Leadership and Community Involvement

Susan has remained actively involved in both the legal profession and her community throughout her career. She previously served on the Board of Directors of the Miami-Dade Justice Association and on Miami Country Day School’s Alumni Board.

She has dedicated countless hours to pro bono service through the Put Something Back program, providing legal representation to individuals who otherwise could not afford counsel. Susan was also appointed as a Guardian Ad Litem in Florida’s Eleventh Judicial Circuit, advocating for the best interests of children involved in court proceedings.

Her community service also includes volunteer work with the Women’s Cancer Association of the University of Miami and the Community Partnership for the Homeless, among other charitable organizations. In addition, she has lectured on legal issues and trial advocacy topics for members of the legal community.

Education

Susan earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law, where she participated extensively in mock trial, moot court, and negotiation competitions. She received her bachelor’s degree in Finance from Emory University.

Before attending law school, Susan worked as a securities analyst for an investment counseling firm in Atlanta, advising both individual and institutional investors. Her business and financial background provides valuable insight when evaluating complex damages, and economic losses in high-value personal injury litigation.
