MIAMI (July 22, 2000) — The Law Firm of Colson Hicks Eidson today announced that Marc Cooper and Maureen E. Lefebvre, both formerly with Cooper & Wolfe, P.A., have joined the thirty-year-old Miami law firm and will form the firm’s new appellate practice section.
“We wanted to develop an in-house appellate practice section because the amount of appellate work we have handled recently has grown to such a large extent,” stated Mike Eidson, partner at Colson Hicks Eidson.
“Marc, Maureen and Barbara will handle appeals and assist counsel at the trial level in personal injury and commercial litigation,” added Dean Colson, partner at Colson Hicks Eidson. “They bring many years of experience in the field and we are excited to have them as part of our team.”
Cooper was a principal in Cooper & Wolfe, which has for 25 years specialized in appellate practice and litigation support in state and federal courts. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Yale University and is a graduate of the University of Miami School of Law, where he was a member and editor of the University of Miami Law Review.
Cooper then served as law clerk to the Honorable David W. Dyer, United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, before becoming a principal in the firm of Greene & Cooper, P.A., the predecessor to Cooper & Wolfe. He joins Colson Hicks Eidson as partner, where he will continue his practice in appeals in state and federal courts and litigation support in complex civil litigation.
After graduating from the University of Florida School of Law where she served as a member of the School’s Law Review, Lefebvre joined Greene & Cooper, and later Cooper & Wolfe—where she specialized in appellate law. She joins as a partner and will continue her area of practice at Colson Hicks Eidson.
