Susan Carlson is a partner specializing in personal injury and wrongful death claims, medical negligence, product liability, premises liability, and negligent security cases. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Finance from Emory University and her law degree from the University of Miami School of Law.
Susan Carlson has over 30 years of experience in helping individuals who have been seriously injured or the families of those who were killed in accidents due to the fault of others. An AV-rated trial lawyer by Martindale-Hubbell and a partner in the firm, she has focused her practice on cases involving Catastrophic Personal Injury, Wrongful Death, Medical Negligence, Product Liability, Premises Liability, and Negligent Security. Ms. Carlson is a passionate advocate for her clients in their pursuit for justice.
She has achieved numerous million-dollar personal injury settlements and verdicts, including in cases where she represented individuals injured in motorcycle and car crashes, by faulty products, and by medical negligence and negligent security. Ms. Carlson has also been involved in numerous arbitrations over the years at Colson Hicks Eidson and is committed to her clients throughout the litigation process.

Ms. Carlson has been active in many legal and community organizations, including having served on the Board of Directors of the Miami-Dade Justice Association and Miami Country Day School’s Alumni Board. Additionally, she has participated in the “Put Something Back” program, bringing legal services to those who otherwise could not afford them. Ms. Carlson was appointed to serve as a Guardian Ad Litem in the 11th Judicial Circuit to protect children’s interests. She has also served the community through her volunteer work for The Heidi Hewes Chapter of the Women’s Cancer Association of University of Miami, and for the Community Partnership for the Homeless, as well as other organizations. She has lectured on topics affecting the legal community.
Ms. Carlson is a graduate of the University of Miami School of Law. There, she actively participated in mock trials, moot courts, and negotiation competitions. She also holds a business degree in Finance from Emory University. Prior to law school, Ms. Carlson worked as a securities analyst for an investment counseling firm in Atlanta, Georgia, serving both individual and institutional clients.
