One of the three victims was an unborn baby. A driver traveling the wrong way down I-75 in Miami killed himself, a pregnant woman and her unborn child. The early morning car crash happened last month, as reported at wsvn.com.
According to investigators, a Honda was driving at a high speed in the wrong direction on I-75. The Honda collided head-on with the vehicle carrying the pregnant woman. Rescue helicopters transported the woman and the other driver to Ryder Trauma Center. All three later succumbed to their injuries.
Two other people suffered injuries in the car accident and no information is currently available on their condition. Investigators suspect alcohol as a factor in the fatal crash. They are awaiting toxicology results of the Honda driver.
Before the tragic accident, police sent out a warning to be on the lookout for a car driving the wrong way. Unfortunately, they did not stop the car in time before it caused the accident. Investigators do not know how fast the two cars were traveling at the time of the accident, but they suspect it was a high-speed collision.
This senseless tragedy killed a mother and took the life of a child before it even began.
