While there are certain situations where you have your guard up in case of an auto accident, sitting outside of a pizzeria enjoying a meal is usually not one of them.
Unfortunately for some Miami diners, the unexpected happened recently when a car crashed into them while they were sitting outside La Pizzeria Di Lemoni. The motor vehicle accident(MVA) took place in the 4600 blocks of NE Second Avenue on a Saturday afternoon, according to WTVJ-TV.
Reportedly, prior to crashing into La Pizzeria Di Lemoni’s diners, the 71-year-old driver lost control of his vehicle, a 2003 Toyota Camry, and hit a pole. After the Camry hit the pole, it ran up onto the sidewalk and into the diners.
Seven people were hurt in the MVA, including the wife and niece of the driver, who were passengers in the Camry. Miami Police reported that two of the injured had to be taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center. The five other injury victims were taken to Mount Sinai Hospital and the emergency room at Jackson Memorial.
