According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), on the foggy evening of November 18, an SUV heading west on Highway 98 crashed into a semi-truck towing a piece of logging equipment, killing the driver of the SUV.
The FHP stated that the SUV’s driver, a 27-year-old woman, was traveling on US 98 when she went into another lane, crashing into a semi-truck and causing it to flip over. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The 44-year-old truck driver was unharmed.
The fatal accident shut down the highway after the collision. FHP is currently investigating the accident.
