The issues faced by the Hispanic community can be difficult and confusing to outsiders. It was for this reason that the Broward County Hispanic Bar Association (BCHBA) was established. The BCHBA has strived to be the voice of an ever-expanding community that needs committed legal representation. It gathers sponsors and funds to help pay for the education of Hispanic law students, and to further these goals, the association created the BRAVO Awards.
The BRAVO Awards recognize outstanding leaders from communities in the tri-county area, and each winner is chosen for their strong, diverse leadership in their respective counties. This year was the award’s inaugural ceremony, which happened at the 26th Anniversary Annual Installation & Scholarship Gala. A silent auction helped raise funds for future projects and scholarships were bestowed to Hispanic law students.
The winners for 2015 were Jamie J Finizio-Bascombe of Broward County, Mariano Garcia of Palm Beach County, and Colson Hicks Eidson of Miami-Dade County. As an experienced business litigation firm, we have represented many clients and won verdicts worth millions of dollars. He and his fellow BRAVO recipients deserve this honor for all of their efforts to strengthen the voice of Florida’s Hispanic community.
