What is happening with Allergan breast implants?

BIA-ALCA is not breast cancer. Rather, it is a rare type of cancer found in the scar tissue and fluid near the breast implant. The FDA says that there have been hundreds of BIA-ALCL cases and that dozens have died due to cancer.
The FDA has said that the removal of these implants is not currently recommended for those who have them if they have no signs or symptoms of BIA-ALCL. However, this does not make many women, like Michelle Peterson, any less wary.
