Welcomes American Association for Justice Convention to Miami
MIAMI (Feb. 21, 2013)– Nearly 2,000 guests gathered at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County on Monday, February 11th for a private concert featuring ten-time Grammy Award winner George Benson. Presented by the law firm of Colson Hicks Eidson, the jazz master serenaded the crowd with some of his greatest hits such as Turn Your Love Around, In Your Eyes, and On Broadway.
The crowd, made up of notable local attorneys as well as attorneys from around the country visiting Miami for the American Association for Justice’s annual winter convention, enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres outside at the Parker and Vann Thomson Plaza for the Arts followed by a vibrant performance held in the John S. and James L. Knight Concert Hall.
Colson Hicks Eidson has a long history with the American Association for Justice (formerly known as the Association of Trial Lawyers of America), the world’s largest trial bar and the nation’s leading defender of civil justice. The firm’s co-founder, Bill Colson, served as president of the association from 1964-1965 and partner, Lewis S. “Mike” Eidson, served as president from 2006-2007. Partner Julie Braman Kane currently serves as AAJ’s treasurer.
